STEM Wonders for Edutainment Ltd and its subscription box “Wonder Box” (“Company”, “we,” “our,” or “us”)  is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy through the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy sets forth our policy with respect to information that can be associated with or which relates to a person and/or could be used to identify a person (“Personal Information”) that is collected from Users on or through Company Services.

This privacy policy applies only to this website (stemwonders.net, its subdomains shop.stemwonders.net) (the “Site”), and does not extend to any websites that can be accessed from this website including, but not limited to, any links we may provide to social media websites.

We will not sell your data, nor trade or rent it to other companies for marketing purposes, or any other purpose for that matter only for the purpose agreed herein or necessary to provide you with our services or if agreed otherwise.

BY USING ANY OF COMPANY’S SERVICES OR BY INTERACTING WITH A COMPANY CUSTOMER USING THE SERVICES, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE TERMS OF THE PRIVACY POLICY AND, AS APPLICABLE, THE COMPANY TERMS OF SERVICE.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

Under the CCPA, Company must affirmatively inform California consumers of the categories of personal information collected about the consumer, the sources from which that information is collected, the commercial or business purpose for which the personal information is collected, the categories of third parties the information will be shared with, and specific pieces of personal information collected about the consumer.

Who We Are

We are a data Processor and Collector. We process data received from our website and services and take proportionate precaution in storing such information for short periods on our secure servers until permanently destroyed.

Purpose For Using Your Information

Company collects and use user personal information for the following purposes:

  1. To improve customer service and website.
  2. The information provided helps us respond to customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
  3. To personalize user experience.
  4. We use information in the aggregate to understand how our users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site.
  5. We use feedback provided to improve our products and services.

We use the email address to send User information and updates pertaining to their order. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

Our Website collects information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of
being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (”personal information”). In particular, our Platform has collected the following categories of personal information from its consumers within the last twelve (12) months:

We obtains the categories of personal information listed above from the following categories of sources:

  1. Directly from you. For example, from forms you complete on our Platform.
  2. Indirectly from you. For example, from observing your actions on our Platform or interactions with our advertisers.

We collect contact information of subscribers and enquirers through the Site and otherwise in order to provide periodic information and updates, announcements and promotions regarding our products and services. For this purpose, we will ask you for your personal information such as first and last name, address, email address, shipping address, telephone number, payment information and any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the foregoing data. You may also provide us with information about your child, including first name, date of birth and gender. This information is optional and is only used to deliver a more personalized product.

We collect and use personal information from Individuals to provide our services to individuals under agreements with them. We also collect personal information from an Individual where the Individual submits an application for any of our programs (such as workshops, after school, birthday parties, volunteering, and hiring)  this is required to assess the Individual’s eligibility in the Programs or to assess the Individual’s suitability for employment at STEM Wonders as well as to process the application and respond to the Individual. In addition, we collect your personal information through joining our mailing list, create an account, make a purchase, make a subscription purchase, and via send us a message.

By joining our mailing list, and/ or creating an account, you agree to receive our newsletter via our website, therefore we will collect your email address for marketing purposes, but only with your explicit consent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time from the link provided in each email.

If you purchase on our website, we will collect some personal information such as your email address, full name, billing address, and shipping address. Whilst we retain limited payment details for our records, we do not store or retain complete payment information. When you purchase a subscription product on our website, you are permitting us to charge renewal fees after periods as specified within the product description. The same data is collected as above (‘Make a purchase’), but in this instance, WooCommerce initiates a new order via Stripe after the period has elapsed. You can cancel this renewal at any time. Please note that subscription purchases require an account to be created so that the above processing can take place.

If you send a message via email or our contact form, we will collect any information you provide within that message.  If you send us a message via our chatbox, powered by Pure Chat, we will see your IP address (which does not identify you) and whatever information you send to us as part of the message.

We collect the following personal information for taking photos and videos, such as name, email address, location (i.e. city, province, postal code), date of birth (to verify that you meet the minimum age requirement) and a user name and password that the Individual
chooses.

  1. Our mailing list data is processed using Mailchimp (read their privacy policy  here )
  2. Our website account data is processed using WordPress (read their privacy policy  here ). Data is stored on a secured server owned by namecheap (read their privacy policy here ).
  3. Our purchase data is processed using WooCommerce and stored using Google Drive (read WooCommerce’s privacy  here ).

Information The Company Collects

In order to offer The Services, we need to collect information from our customers. Here is a summary of the information
that we collect from our customers and what we do with it:

We collect your name, email address, and IP address. We need this information to provide you with our Services, for example, to confirm your identity and contact you.

You may voluntarily provide additional information related to the registered account such as any API key provided or images or videos you choose to upload.

We collect data about hosted web pages that you visit. We also collect data about how and when you access your account in
order to give you access and at the same time improve our Services.

When you voluntarily share personal information with us in the course of offering your course and using our services, we store that Personal Information.

When transactions between you and our website involve payment by credit card, debit card, checks, money orders, and/or third party online payment services, we will collect information related to the transaction as part of the course of doing business with you, including billing address, telephone number, and other information related to the transaction.

This information is collected when you sign up for our Services, when you access our Services or otherwise provide us with the information. In some circumstances, when you have given us express permission, we will also use and store your personal information.

We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to troubleshoot, resolve disputes, accomplish administrative tasks, contact you, enforce our agreements with you, including our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, comply with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities.

We, and/or our authorized Third-Party Service Providers, may automatically collect this information when you visit or use Company Service using electronic tools like Cookies and Web beacons or Pixel tags, as described below in this Privacy Policy.  Most of the other information we collect for mobile, such as your mobile device identification and mobile device type, the request type, your mobile carrier, your mobile carrier user identification, and the content of your request, does not by itself identify you to Company, though it may be unique or consist of or contain information that you consider personal. We use Non-Personally Identifiable Information to troubleshoot, administer the Company Service, analyze trends, gather demographic information, comply with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities. We may also share this information with our authorized Third-Party Service Providers to measure the overall effectiveness of our products and services.

Required Personal Information

Where we are required to collect certain Personal Information by law or under the terms of a contract with you or your employer or prospective employer, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform under the respective contract and may not be able to provide access to or use of the Services.

We use personally identifiable information in order to give you a more enjoyable convenient shopping experience and to help us identify and/or provide information, products or services that may be of interest to you. We use your personally identifiable information to support and enhance your use of the Site and the Apps and its features, including without limitation: fulfilling your order; providing customer service; tracking email invitations you send; and otherwise supporting your use of the Site and App. We may also track your past purchases to provide you with a personalized profile of your shopping history. We also use information collected through the Site and the Service to provide promotional materials about us.  However, promotional communications are optional, and Company will refrain from sending that kind of information to you if you inform us that you prefer not to receive them, as described in more detail below.

We may transfer personally identifiable information as an asset in connection with a proposed or actual merger or sale (including any transfers made as part of an insolvency or bankruptcy proceeding) involving all or part of our business or as part of a corporate reorganization, stock sale or other change in control. In such a circumstance the Transferee would be bound by the terms of this privacy policy.

The company uses Non-Personal Information in a variety of ways to evaluate and improve the performance of the Site and
Service and the general preferences of users, or to generate anonymous statistics for our benefit or our business partners and business and administrative purposes. We may also use or share with third parties for any purpose aggregated data that contains no personally identifiable information.
If you submit your email address to be added to a mailing list, we will use the email address for the sole purpose of sending you announcements, special offers from STEM wonders and other partners along with Site and Apps updates. As a necessary part of providing Services, we may disclose certain Personal Information about you to our third-party service providers (e.g., our third-party payment processors), and/or comply with a subpoena, court order, administrative or governmental order, or any other requirement of law, or when we, in our sole discretion, believe it is necessary in order to protect or defend the rights or property of Company or users of the Services, to prevent harm to persons or property, to fight fraud and credit risk reduction, to investigate any violation or potential violation of the law, this Privacy Policy, or Terms and Conditions.  The disclosures contemplated by this paragraph are necessary if you wish to use the Service.

If we collect information through the Site and/or the Service that you provide to us voluntarily through online forms or surveys, through e-mail communications or by other means, or in the comment section, we will treat that information as described above, as applied to both Personal Information and Non-Personal Information. If you choose to provide information about yourself using a feedback or email form on our Site or App, we will not use the information for any purpose other than to respond to your inquiry or to act on your suggestion or comment. We will not share your information with others except with your permission or upon your request.

If you enter and win a contest or other promotion, you expressly consent to (a) Company providing your Personal Information (e.g., your name and address) to the third party providing the prize for the contest or other promotion, solely to provide you with such prize and (b) Company publicly disclosing your name and the fact that you won the contest or promotion. By entering such a contest or other promotion, you expressly consent to such disclosures.

If you elect to use our referral services for informing a friend about our Site, we ask you for the friend’s name and email address. Our Company will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the Site and We will store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program. The referee may contact Us to request the removal of this information from our database.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We are committed to protecting the personal information we receive from you and we will not disclose, trade, rent, or sell your personal information. However, we may need to share your information with third parties which provide services to us that are necessary for the operation of the business. We use Personal Information as needed to provide Site and Services, to create Accounts, and to communicate with registered users.

Your information may be disclosed to third parties who provide the following services: accounting and bookkeeping, digital marketing, website development, delivery, legal services and data storage. We
follow reasonable technical and management practices to help protect the confidentiality, security and integrity of data stored on our system. While no computer system is completely secure, we believe the measures we have implemented reduce the likelihood of security problems to a level appropriate to the type of data involved. We do not permit third parties to use your information for any purposes other than those we specify, and certainly not for their purposes.

Storage and retention

We store the personal information we receive as described in this Privacy Policy for as long as you use our services or as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, provide our Services, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce our agreements, and comply with applicable laws.

Where we collect personal information through our Site or our performance of our services, we retain it for as long as legally required to the operation of our Site or service performance.

Third-Party Providers/Users/ Links

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. Our mailing list, newsletter and direct marketing via email data may be captured, held and processed by third-party providers.

Our Site may contain links to other sites of interest that our Company does not own or operate. However, once you have used these links to leave our Site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other websites. In such a case, you should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question. Be advised that the linked websites have separate and independent privacy statements, notices, and terms of use, which we recommend Individuals read carefully. Therefore, we do not have any control over such websites, and therefore we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such websites and such websites are not governed by this Privacy Policy.

Data security is of great importance to us, and to protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to safeguard and make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. An Individual’s online access to certain personal information may be protected with a username and/or password that the Individual chooses. Transfer of Personal Information by Sale or Merger

If our company is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners/ management so that we may continue to sell products to you.
